Position Overview
MedHaven Health is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and patient-focused Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our growing Primary Care and Women’s Health practice in Glen Burnie, Maryland. The ideal candidate is committed to preventive care, wellness, chronic disease management, and delivering exceptional patient experiences. New graduates are welcome to apply and will receive mentorship and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care for patients ages 4 and older.
- Perform annual physicals, wellness exams, and preventive health screenings.
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries.
- Manage chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, COPD, thyroid disorders, anxiety, and depression.
- Conduct women’s health visits, including annual GYN exams, Pap smears, pelvic exams, birth control counseling, and IUD consultations.
- Order, interpret, and review laboratory and diagnostic studies.
- Prescribe medications and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
- Conduct telehealth follow-up visits for established patients.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, healthy lifestyles, and medication management.
- Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current Maryland Nurse Practitioner license.
- Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC or FNP-C).
- DEA registration or ability to obtain one.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for preventive care and patient education.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a healthcare team.
- Women’s Health experience preferred but not required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
