External Sales Representative – Cape Town
Load Mass Crane Services is seeking an experienced and driven External Sales Representative to join our Cape Town operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for calling on existing and prospective clients, developing strong business relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting our products and services within the industrial sector.
Minimum Requirements
- Proven external sales experience within the Cape Town industrial market.
- Sound knowledge of the local industrial, manufacturing, engineering, construction, warehousing, and related sectors.
- An established client network and footprint within the Cape Town industrial economy will be advantageous.
- Experience or knowledge of cranes, hoists, lifting equipment, material-handling equipment, engineering services, or related products will be preferred.
- Own reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s licence are essential.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer-relations skills.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, professional, and able to work independently.
- Must be computer literate and capable of preparing quotations, maintaining sales records, and submitting regular activity reports.
- Must be of sober habits and have a stable employment record.
Key Responsibilities
- Call on existing clients and develop new customer relationships.
- Identify projects, sales leads, tenders, and business opportunities.
- Conduct site visits and assist with gathering information for quotations.
- Follow up on quotations and convert opportunities into confirmed orders.
- Maintain an active call schedule, sales pipeline, and quotation register.
- Promote the company’s products, services, repairs, maintenance, upgrades, and after-hours support.
- Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to the growth of the Cape Town operation.
