We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Expert Electrical Engineer (Pr. Eng.) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist electrical engineering expertise, technical leadership, project oversight, and engineering assurance within a demanding industrial environment.
Minimum Requirements- Academic Qualifications
- External BTech / BEng Qualification not ratified by ECSA
- External Technical Diploma ratified by ECSA or Internal Diploma
- External BEng Qualification ratified by ECSA or Internal BEng Degree
Professional Registration
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
- Proof of registration must accompany the application.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 8–10 years relevant electrical engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the design, maintenance, operation, and optimisation of electrical systems.
- Experience in industrial, mining, power generation, manufacturing, or similar environments will be advantageous.
- Proven experience managing engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist electrical engineering guidance and technical support.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and engineering standards.
- Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and technical reports.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause investigations on electrical system failures.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies to improve reliability and performance.
- Manage electrical engineering projects from concept through commissioning.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to safety requirements.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical personnel.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
