We are seeking a highly experienced and technically competent Expert Civil Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist civil engineering expertise, overseeing complex engineering projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, and delivering innovative solutions within a demanding operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert civil engineering advice and technical leadership.
- Plan, design, review, and manage civil engineering projects.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering codes, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct technical assessments, inspections, and quality assurance reviews.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, risks, and stakeholder relationships.
- Prepare and review engineering reports, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technical personnel.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Applicants must possess one of the following:
- BTech / BEng Qualification (External) not ratified by ECSA; OR
- Technical Diploma (External) ratified by ECSA; OR
- Technical Diploma (Internal); OR
- BEng Degree (External) ratified by ECSA; OR
- BEng Degree (Internal).
Experience
- External BTech / BEng Qualification not ratified by ECSA: Minimum 2 years relevant civil engineering experience.
- External Technical Diploma ratified by ECSA or Internal Diploma: Minimum 4 years relevant civil engineering experience.
- External BEng Qualification ratified by ECSA or Internal BEng Degree: Relevant civil engineering experience will be advantageous.

- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Project management and contract administration skills.
- Technical problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Report writing and technical documentation skills.
- Stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Sound knowledge of applicable engineering legislation, standards, and best practices.
