Position Overview
Industrial Service Corp. (ISC) is seeking a motivated and dependable individual to join our team as a Tire Mounter / Material Handler for our Grand Island Facility.
The Tire Mounter Tech is responsible for mounting, handling tire and wheel assemblies for vehicles/equipment of all sizes as they mount and dismount tires with use of equipment. The technician ensures all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Mount and dismount tires using proper tools and equipment.
- Inspect tires and wheels for damage, wear and potential issues prior to mounting.
- Verify correct tire and wheel sizes and types for the application.
- Ensure proper torque and inflation levels are applied.
- Perform visual and manual checks to ensure work meets quality and safety standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to prevent accidents or damage.
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move tires, wheels, and supplies within the warehouse.
- Load and unload tires and materials from delivery trucks using forklift or pallet jack.
- Keep work area clean, organized and safe at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
This position will also require other warehouse duties and operating a forklift. Must have steel toed shoes.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in tire mounting strongly preferred.
- Ability to operate tire mounting and related shop equipment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy tires and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, bending, lifting and manual handling of tires and equipment.
- Exposure to loud noises, dust and shop/warehouse environment.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Must have steel toed shoes.
Work Schedule:
- 40 hrs/week
- Monday – Friday
- Day Shift
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
