Electronics Repair Technician/Senior Electrical Jobs in Bellville at Schipper & Sons (Pty) Ltd
Schipper & Sons, located in Bellville (Stikland), is seeking a Senior Electrical / Electronics Repair Technician.
The position is currently available, and an immediate start date is preferred.
The successful incumbent will have a solid understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and troubleshooting techniques, with the ability to successfully repair the electrical components of welding or related machinery.
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and repairing all types of welding machines and related equipment
- Ability to read electrical/electronic circuit diagrams
- VSD and motor controls e.g. Star delta, DOL starters
- Experience with welder repairs (MIG, TIG, STICK)
- Any gaps in specific areas will be supported through on-the-job training by a senior Electrical Engineer
Competencies:
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and proactive individual with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience, and will possess the following competencies:
- Qualified Electrician (Red Seal Certification)
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Capable of working independently
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills in welding and electrical systems
- Knowledge of all related safety protocols and regulations
- Ability to maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance

- Working hours: Monday to Thursday: 07h30 – 16h30 and Friday: 07h30 – 15h30
