POSITION: ELECTRICIAN
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for an Electrician at Peninsula Packaging in Stikland, Bellville. This position will report directly to the Maintenance HOD.
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
· Qualified tradesman – N3
· Automation experience
· PLC’s
· VSD’s
· Process control
· 3-5 years’ experience in a Plastics or similar manufacturing environment
· Own transport
· Own cell phone
· Availability for Stand-by & call outs
· Ability to work in a pressurised environment and attention to detail
· Ability to work in team as well as independently
· Ability to communicate effectively – interdepartmental liaison with managers regarding their equipment
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
· Regular maintenance/checks/planned maintenance of machines
· Ensure that machines are safe before work commences on it
