Rangechem (Pty) Ltd is a small, growing chemical manufacturing company based in Brackenfell. We are looking for a reliable, professional Driver & General Assistant. You will handle local deliveries and assist with essential factory support tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliveries & Supplier Pickups: Safely transport, load, and offload cleaning products to our clients across Cape Town. Provide friendly, professional service at all delivery points. Manage collections of raw materials and cleaning consumables from local suppliers, checking that the collected items match the collections sheet. Collect empty return polycans from clients.
- Cash Payments: Securely handle cash payments from clients and process small cash payouts for returned empty containers. Keep a neat, basic record of these transactions to ensure the cash balances correctly at the end of your shift.
- Vehicle Care: Take daily ownership of the company vehicle, conducting routine pre-trip inspections (oil, water, tires, and general cleanliness).
- Factory Support: You will be required to assist with general tasks in the factory to ready products for dispatch.
Requirements (Qualifications & Skills):
- Driving Experience: Minimum of 5 years driving experience.
- License: Valid South African Code 8 (or higher) driver’s license.
- Language Fluency: Must be fully fluent in both English and Xhosa to communicate effectively with our team and our client base.
- Physical Capabilities: Must be physically fit and capable of safely and repeatedly handling, loading, and securing heavy cargo daily.
- Basic Computer Literacy: Comfortable using a laptop to navigate folders and operate basic printing applications (specific software training will be provided).
- Attributes: Exceptional punctuality and a neat and professional appearance.
- Background: Clean criminal record and contactable references.
What We Offer:
- A stable, full-time position with standard Monday-to-Friday hours (8am-5pm).
- A salary of R8,000 per month (Gross).
