Job Description:
- Complete training as required.
- Shadow applicable Engineers/ Technicians, to gain a fundamental understanding of the tooling and equipment used.
- Work alongside the current Technical and Operational teams assisting with design & manufacture requests for specialized tooling and equipment.
- Generate fit-form-function based Concept and Detail Designs comprising of 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings using Solid Works.
- Quantify the cost of R&D projects and ensure that projects are run in line with specific KPI’s
- Effectively run R&D Department whilst assisting Management with Admin tasks related to R&D.
- Report effectively to General and Senior Management.
- Always ensure a safe working environment
Requirements:
- Relevant Draughting Qualification
- 2 years’ experience in a relatable engineering environment (e.g., design and manufacturing)
Skills:
- Sound understanding of 3D CAD packages, in particular SolidWorks.
- A good knowledge of the MS Office suite (especially Word, Excel, Teams).
- Excellent written communicator (email, report & manual writing).
- Manufacturing oversight and practical work experience will be advantageous.
- Sound understanding of fabrication, boiler making/ welding, precision machining.
- Practical thinker, mechanically minded and good problem solver.

- Are you willing to undergo additional training to develop your technical skills?
- Are you a practical problem-solver with a strong mechanical aptitude?
