Senior Front of House Waiter Jobs in Cape Town at SWEET REVENGE
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Customer Service Skills
- Greet guests warmly and seat them (if required)
- Present menus and explain specials/promotions
- Take accurate food and drink orders
- Check in with guests during service (quality + satisfaction)
- Handle complaints professionally and escalate when needed
Service Delivery
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and correctly
- Ensure correct table setup before and during service
- Clear tables promptly and reset for next guests
- Maintain strong menu knowledge (ingredients, allergens, upselling)
Sales & Upselling
- Recommend dishes, drinks, and add-ons
- Promote specials and high-margin items
- Increase average spend per table
POS & Payments
- Enter orders accurately into POS (e.g. GAAP)
- Process bills and payments (cash/card)
- Handle receipts and closing procedures correctly
Hygiene & Cleanliness
- Keep service areas clean and organized
- Ensure personal grooming and uniform standards
Teamwork & Operations
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff
- Assist teammates during busy periods
- Follow shift opening and closing checklists
Efficiency & Timing
- Deliver fast, attentive service
- Manage multiple tables effectively
- Ensure smooth guest flow and table turnover
