Dentist – Mobile Health Clinic (Contract)
Location: Kuruman, Northern Cape (Mobile Clinic)
Guud Mobiles, in partnership with the SIOC Dental Mobile Health Clinic, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Dentist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to underserved communities in Kuruman and surrounding areas. This is a contract-based opportunity ideal for a clinician passionate about community impact and mobile healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Provide comprehensive dental services including examinations, fillings, extractions, and preventive care
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventative practices
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure informed consent
Clinic Management
- Ensure the mobile clinic is fully equipped and operational daily
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the clinic
- Manage inventory and report equipment or supply issues
Community Engagement
- Support outreach initiatives, school visits, and oral health education programs
- Build relationships with local communities and stakeholders
Professional & Operational Responsibilities
- Adhere to all clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions
- Utilize digital platforms including GoodX, GuudPro, Moblix, Shayela, and communication tools
- Ensure proper care of issued devices and clinic equipment
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold clinic presentation standards
Minimum Requirements
- BChD/BDS or equivalent qualification
- Registered with HPCSA
- CPD compliant
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum 2 years’ clinical experience (community or mobile health experience advantageous)
Advantageous
- BHF registration
- Experience with GoodX, Heidi AI, or other EHR systems
Reporting Structure
- Clinical: Head of Clinical Services (Guud Health)
- Operational: Head of Operations (Guud Mobility)
About the Role
This role focuses on delivering essential dental services to communities with limited access to care. The position may require occasional travel for training or project support. Candidates should be adaptable, community-oriented, and comfortable working in a mobile clinic environment.
