Overview
FiDi Endodontics is a well established endodontic specialty practice near South Street Seaport in Lower Manhattan. We are currently seeking a friendly and reliable full-time OR part-time Dental Biller / Front Desk Receptionist
Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 6pm (full time hours, part-time schedule is also a possibility)
Previous dental billing experience is preferred but not necessary.
Mandarin and/or Cantonese Speaking is preferred but not necessary.
Experience with Dentrix IS A PLUS
In this role, you will be the key player in managing dental insurance claims, ensuring accurate billing, and optimizing collections.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit dental insurance claims using appropriate coding systems
- Review patient records and treatment documentation to ensure accurate medical coding and billing compliance.
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective collection strategies while maintaining positive patient relationships.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits to facilitate smooth billing processes.
- Maintain detailed records of billing activities, including claim submissions, adjustments, and payments received.
Experience
- Proven experience in medical/dental billing
- Knowledge of dental terminology, dental records management, and coding systems
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used in dental or medical offices for billing and recordkeeping purposes.
- Experience handling dental/medical collections efficiently while maintaining professionalism.
- Excellent understanding of dental procedures, insurance policies, and billing workflows.
Compensation is dependent on relevant dental billing / receptionist experience and performance.
