Dental Assistant – Key Duties
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms
- Assist dentist during procedures (four-handed dentistry)
- Sterilise instruments and maintain infection-control standards
- Ensure patient comfort and safety
- Take/process dental X-rays (if trained)
- Maintain basic patient records
- Manage stock and surgery cleanliness
- Assist with appointments and patient communication
Dental Assistant – Requirements
- HPCSA registered
- Knowledge of infection control and sterilisation protocols
- Ability to assist during dental procedures
- Good communication and patient-care skills
- Basic computer and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work well in a team and under pressure
- Professional, ethical, and reliable conduct
Experience with:
- Medis or similar booking software
- Root canal treatments
- Crown and bridge
- Pulpotomies
- Surgical tooth removals
- Sedation
- Orthodontics and braces
- Intra-oral scanning
- Dentures
Job Type: Temp to perm
Contract length: 2 months
Pay: From R11 500,00 per month
