The company supplies the retail, wholesale, food service and hospitality trade locally and also exports processed meat products to RSA and other African countries. We are committed to the continued development and growth of the meat industry in South Africa and across the region. To achieve this goal, we are looking for a suitably qualified, dynamic individual to apply for the following vacancy:
LOCATION: Constantia
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To perform the overall operations within the Cold Meat Counter department by implementing the required standards and providing excellent customer service for the profitability of the Deli.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience working in a Deli environment in a similar role
- Knowledge and skills required to provide excellent customer services
KEY ACOUNTABILITIES:
- Prepare and timeously present all specialities and display in an attractive manner.
- Keep the display fridges, store rooms and cold-rooms in an orderly manner on a daily basis
- Check the price change register to confirm whether prices have not changed.
- Render a speedy and effective service to customers as required by operations.
- Gain continuous knowledge of products.
- Maintain housekeeping and food safety standards.
- Attend stock takes as scheduled
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Excellent Communication & Interpersonal skills
- Must have the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work in a team
