Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant / Registered Dental Assistant (DA/RDA) to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring smooth and efficient patient care while supporting the clinical operations of our practice. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for patient appointments
- Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic EMR systems
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and accurate medical documentation
- Perform chairside assisting with aseptic technique and infection control protocols to promote a safe clinical environment
- Record vital signs and medical history information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Support the dental team with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and managing medical records
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment as a DA or RDA, with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry procedures
- Proficiency with dental software including Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic EMR systems, and 3D scanner technology
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately while adhering to radiation safety standards
- Excellent understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical coding for accurate recordkeeping
- Skilled in chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry and handling dental instruments efficiently
- Knowledge of medical imaging procedures and the ability to support complex treatments like prosthodontics or endodontics
