Crew Lead Jobs in Knoxville, TN at Volunteer Erosion Control
Responsibilities for Crew Leader:
- Must be able to operate small equipment (skid steers, mini excavators, hydro seeders, etc.)
- Coordinate daily tasks
- Monitor multiple 3–4 person crews.
- Review daily work orders and verify that the materials loaded are what is needed for the daily assignments.
- Follow Company and Project Safety Standards and be a role model of safety among crew members, including the proper use of machinery and equipment and resolve problems when they arise.
- Monitor and report project progress, risks, and concerns
- Install silt fencing, erosion control blankets, sod and various other erosion control products.
- Clean-up and reload leftover materials after the job is complete. As well as maintain a clean truck.
Preferred Qualifications Crew Leaders:
- At least 21 years old
- Must have a valid Driver’s License with clean driving record, CDL preferred
- Must pass a Drug Screen
- Must pass Background Check
- Ability to communicate/follow instructions
Experience:
- driving crew-cab truck with a trailer loaded: 1 year (preferred)
- working in Landscaping or Construction: 1 years (preferred)
- operating Heavy Equipment such as Bobcat or Skid Steer: 1 year (preferred)

Pay Rate: based on experience, certification and CDL. Higher pay range must have Class A CDL
