Duties
- Assist with the installation of rebar, formwork, and concrete finishing to ensure structural integrity and quality standards.
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely to support various construction activities.
- Prepare and organize materials, including mixing concrete with mixers and laying tiles or flooring as needed.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to understand project requirements and execute tasks accurately.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor tasks such as carrying materials, demolition, and site cleanup.
- Support carpentry, roofing, stucco, masonry, and metal stud framing work by handling supplies and assisting skilled tradespeople.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with heavy machinery, scaffolding, and during restoration or renovation projects.
Requirements
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related roles is preferred but not mandatory; eagerness to learn is highly valued.
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation are advantageous.
- Ability to read blueprints or schematics to assist in various construction tasks.
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing manual labor tasks.
- Knowledge of construction estimating, concrete pumping, caulking, trim carpentry, tile laying, flooring installation, plastering, welding, masonry, roofing or restoration is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or operating heavy equipment may be required depending on project needs.
