Clean Conditions Officer (CCO) – FME
An EME based in Pretoria East, Waltloo is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join their team.
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma or related qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Foreign Material Exclusion (FME), clean conditions control, outage support, or plant maintenance environments
- Proven experience in maintaining and monitoring clean conditions during outages, maintenance, or commissioning activities
- Experience working on Eskom power stations or heavy industrial projects will be advantageous
- Knowledge of Eskom FME requirements, housekeeping standards, and quality procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and enforce Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) controls during maintenance and outage activities
- Conduct clean condition inspections on plant equipment, systems, and work areas
- Ensure all FME zones, barricading, tagging, and housekeeping requirements are maintained
- Coordinate with supervisors, planners, quality personnel, and contractors to maintain compliance
- Compile FME reports, inspection records, deviation logs, and status updates
- Identify and report risks, non-conformances, and potential contamination hazards
- Support safe execution of maintenance activities in accordance with Eskom standards and procedures
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and inspection skills
- Good communication and reporting abilities
- Ability to work under pressure during outages and shutdowns
- Good understanding of safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements
- Strong coordination and problem-solving skills
