Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Clamp Driver to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating clamp trucks and other heavy equipment to efficiently load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and distribution center. Your expertise in materials handling, equipment repair, and warehouse management will ensure smooth operations and safety compliance. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in warehouse experience, forklift operation, and heavy equipment handling to support our logistics and distribution processes.
Responsibilities
- Operate clamp trucks, reach trucks, forklifts, Hi-Lo, and pallet jacks to load and unload goods safely and efficiently
- Handle materials with precision using appropriate equipment such as clamp trucks and order pickers
- Assist in order picking, shipping, and receiving activities to maintain accurate inventory levels
- Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment to identify maintenance needs or repairs
- Support warehouse management system (WMS) data entry for inventory tracking and order processing
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards during all equipment operation and materials handling tasks
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate distribution activities and optimize workflow
- Perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, or weight verification
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks and proper pallet stacking to maximize storage space
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment adhering to safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 or 2 years of Clamp Truck operating experience.
- Experience using PDA/RF scanner preferred.
- Proven experience operating clamp trucks, reach trucks, forklift, Hi-Lo, or similar heavy equipment within a warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and materials handling procedures
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshooting
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to forklift operation and heavy machinery use
- Previous experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, or warehouse distribution roles preferred
- Basic math skills for inventory counts and measurements
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills
