We are looking for a reliable, customer-focused Cashier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling customer transactions accurately, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with the smooth operation of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Process cash, card, and electronic payments accurately.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile transactions at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier station.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and vouchers where applicable.
- Promote current specials, promotions, and loyalty programs.
- Assist with stock receiving and stock counts when required.
- Report discrepancies, shortages, or operational concerns to management.
- Adhere to company cash-handling procedures and policies.
- Ensure all customer interactions reflect excellent service standards.
Requirements
- Previous cashier experience preferred.
- Strong numerical and cash-handling skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Honest, trustworthy, and dependable.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Basic computer literacy and POS experience advantageous.
