About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to join our procurement team. In this role, you will focus on sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing products to meet our organization’s needs. You will play a critical part in managing vendor relationships and ensuring that purchasing practices align with our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to maximize purchasing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Research and analyze market trends to identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts for the procurement of goods.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure product quality, delivery timelines, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with various departments to understand purchasing requirements and provide effective solutions.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier agreements.
• Conduct regular supplier evaluations to ensure compliance with quality standards and service levels.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and product developments relevant to purchasing decisions.

Requirements

• Proven track record in procurement or purchasing, preferably within a related industry.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence supplier relationships positively.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed purchasing decisions.
• Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is an advantage.
• Professional certifications in procurement, such as CIPS or CSCP, are highly regarded.
• Previous experience in e-commerce or retail procurement is advantageous.
• Familiarity with sustainable sourcing practices and trends.
