Purpose of the Job
The Branding Operator is responsible for the accurate application, installation, and finishing of all branding materials and signage across various platforms, including banners, truck curtains, PVC applications, and VPTS systems. This role ensures that all branding work meets the company’s quality standards through precise measurements, adherence to production processes, and effective use of equipment. The position requires flexibility to work across departments, travel nationally, and perform installations at heights when needed. In addition to operational duties, the Branding Installer upholds company procedures, safety standards, and professional conduct, while contributing to a clean, safe, and team-focused work environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Quality Assurance
- Follow production processes to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Convert banners, truck curtains, and branding products to required specifications.
- Install and manufacture branding signs, curtain sides, PVC stretching, and VPTS systems.
- Conduct accurate measurements with supporting quality control pictures.
- Perform quality checks on all completed work.
- Ensure efficient, accurate applications, installations, sizing, and conversions.
- Report waste and suggest improvements.
- Maintain attention to detail and consistently deliver high-quality output.
2. Vehicle & Branding Asset Monitoring
- Complete job cards before deadline dates.
- Conduct accurate sizing, data capturing, and stock counting.
- Monitor stock processes and ensure proper tracking.
- Strip branding when required.
- Assist with deliveries or collections when needed.
3. Tools, Equipment & Safety
- Ensure equipment used is of high quality and in good condition.
- Return tools, equipment, and spare wheels with signed slips.
- Report defects to Fleet and Branch Manager.
- Maintain professional conduct and adhere to dress code.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and company SOPs.
- Work at heights safely when branding requires.
4. Training & Development
- Participate in training sessions as required.
- Update product knowledge regularly through training programs.
- Support team members and assist with skill development.
5. Teamwork & Collaboration
- Provide support and assistance to team members across departments.
- Work in any branding department as required.
- Uphold company policies and procedures (HR, attendance, smoking, dress code, etc.).
- Maintain professional conduct and teamwork culture.
6. Housekeeping & Yard Standards
- Keep work areas clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times.
- Maintain tool rooms and operational areas in neat condition.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are upheld daily.
7. Flexibility & Availability
- Be readily available to travel countrywide for operational needs.
- Work overtime when required to meet deadlines or urgent requests.
- Assist in relevant operational functions as directed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Trade Certificate
- 2+ years’ technical experience in fabrication or application.
Skills Required:
- Floor Welding
- HF Welding
- Joining of panels
- Sizing 100%
- Self-Adhesive knowledge
- Converted sizing and visuals.
- Mid-Application skills
