Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant Jobs in Houston, TX at Joy of Words Clinic
We are a rapidly growing pediatric speech therapy clinic; we are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Bilingual SLP- Assistant (English/Spanish) who wants to join our team. We follow a child-centered approach and include caregivers/parents as active team members throughout the process. In this vital role, you will support licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality speech therapy services to pediatric population. We strive to provide quality and individualized services to our patients and their families.
Responsabilities
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing therapy plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Develop and implement activities and materials for teaching and practice of skills to address the goals of the patient and family per the plan of care developed by the supervising SLP.
- Involve family/caregiver in treatment through education and counseling
- Develop HEP activities for parents/caregivers.
- Comply with TLDR Board rules and attend to continue education programs as required to maintain licensure and promote professional growth.

Schedule:

Experience
- Prior experience working with children is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills in both languages (English/Spanish) are required to effectively engage with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an ASHA-accredited university in Speech and Hearing Sciences or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Candidates that require 25 hours of clinical experience are encouraged to apply, SLP can provide those hours.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Pay: $40.00 – $45.00 per hour
