Position Summary
The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving premium coffee, tea, and beverages while providing exceptional guest service. The role ensures every drink meets Ladurée’s quality standards and complements the brand’s famous pastries and macarons.
Key Responsibilities
- Beverage Preparation
- Prepare espresso-based drinks (espresso, cappuccino, latte, macchiato)
- Brew and serve specialty teas and hot chocolate
- Ensure drinks are prepared consistently and beautifully presented
- Follow Ladurée recipes and beverage standards
Customer Service
- Greet guests warmly and take beverage orders
- Recommend drinks that pair well with macarons and pastries
- Handle special requests and ensure customer satisfaction
Product Knowledge
- Learn Ladurée’s menu including coffee, teas, desserts, and macarons
- Explain drink ingredients and flavor profiles to customers
- Suggest pairings and upsell items
Equipment & Workstation
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment
- Clean and maintain coffee machines and bar area
- Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and supplies
Hygiene & Standards
- Maintain a clean and organized coffee station
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations
- Uphold Ladurée’s luxury service standards and presentation
Requirements
- Previous barista or café experience preferred
- Knowledge of espresso preparation and milk steaming
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced café environment
- Friendly and professional attitude
- Flexible availability (weekends and holidays)
