Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of general dentistry procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and root canal therapy.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical and dental histories, performing oral examinations, and interpreting diagnostic images.
- Execute dental extractions, prosthodontics (such as crowns and bridges), endodontics (root canal treatments), and other advanced procedures with precision.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies.
- Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety during all procedures.
- Collaborate with team members using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment options, and preventive care to foster long-term wellness.
Qualifications
- Valid dental license to practice as an Associate General Dentist in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience with dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical imaging techniques.
- Demonstrated proficiency in general dentistry procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery.
- Experience working in a busy dental clinic or healthcare environment with a focus on patient care and assessment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds and explain complex procedures clearly.
