Our client is seeking to employ a dynamic and hands-on Assistant Branch Manager to oversee and optimise daily operations.
This role is ideally suited to a driven operational leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage people, processes, stock, logistics, and service delivery.
Our client supplies a comprehensive range of industrial consumables, safety equipment, cleaning products, tools, and related products, offering customers a convenient “one-stop-shop” solution across various sectors, including agriculture, automotive, construction, fishing, hospitality & catering, forestry, manufacturing & engineering, as well as pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse, and distribution operations
- Manage stock control, logistics, dispatch, and inventory processes
- Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and cost control initiatives
- Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams while fostering accountability and performance
- Implement and improve operational systems, procedures, and workflows
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
- Work closely with management team to support business growth and customer satisfaction
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and high customer service standards
Minimum Requirements
- Matric essential
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field advantageous
- Proven experience in operations, factory, warehouse, or distribution management
- Strong leadership and staff management abilities
- Experience within industrial supply, manufacturing, wholesale, FMCG, or distribution environments would be advantageous
- Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Strong understanding of stock management and operational processes
- Computer literate, with experience on ERP or warehouse management systems advantageous
