Assistant Store Manager
Location: West Acres Shopping Centre
Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations.
This role requires someone who is actively involved on the floor and able to step into any position when needed, while ensuring the store runs smoothly and maintains high standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cashier duties when required, including standing in for absent staff
- Ensure the store is always clean, neat, and well-presented
- Assist with daily cash-ups, banking, and basic cash control
- Open and close the store when required
- Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer queries
Support Duties
- Oversee staff on shift and ensure duties are carried out correctly
- Assist with basic staff guidance and on-the-job training
- Help receive and check incoming stock
- Assist with stock counts and report discrepancies
- Ensure correct pricing and shelf labeling
- Report any operational issues, stock concerns, or irregularities
Key Expectations
- Step in and take responsibility for store operations when required
- Maintain control, cleanliness, and service standards at all times
- Be proactive, reliable, and willing to assist in all areas of the store
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: R9 000,00 – R12 000,00 per month
