VACANCY: AREA BUSINESS MANAGER (TOWNSHIP-BASED)

THE REAL ROLE (NOT WHAT YOU THINK IT IS)

This is a territory-building leadership role.

You are responsible for:

  • Building and owning a township insurance network
  • Recruiting, training, and managing Sales Agents
  • Driving consistent monthly policy growth (funeral + life cover+Supplement Cover)
  • Establishing long-term relationships with households and community structures

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Territory Development

  • Own and grow a defined township market
  • Identify high-potential sales zones (spaza shops, taverns, churches, stokvels)

2. Recruitment & Team Building

  • Recruit, onboard, and train Sales Agents
  • Build a structured, disciplined sales team
  • Maintain performance accountability

3. Sales Leadership

  • Lead from the front — close deals and set the standard
  • Ensure consistent policy sales (funeral + life cover)
  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics

4. Relationship Management

  • Build trust with community leaders and households
  • Maintain long-term client relationships
  • Resolve client issues professionally

5. Operational Discipline

  • Ensure compliance with insurance regulations
  • Maintain accurate reporting and documentation
  • Drive retention, not just sales

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • No criminal record
  • Relevant Degree or Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years experience in relationship management
  • Minimum 2 years experience managing people
  • Must have a Laptop
  • Must have reliable internet access
  • Willingness to meet clients physically (this is township-ground work, not remote fantasy)
  • Must be teachable, coachable, and accountable
