Aftercare Assistant Jobs in Cape Town at Forest Edge Preschools
Educare House is a warm and fun-loving preschool and aftercare situated around the corner from Kirstenhof Primary School (KPS) in Kirstenhof. We provide preschool for children aged 4 months – 6 years and aftercare for children from KPS in Grades R–3.
We are growing rapidly and are looking for a reliable and warm part-time Aftercare Assistant to support our aftercare programme and assist with the smooth running of the afternoons.
Key elements of the role:
- Assist with supervising older preschool children and Grade R–3 learners during aftercare, including free play, homework time, and structured activities.
- Support clear, friendly, and professional communication with parents, in line with the school’s communication guidelines.
- Help maintain a calm, organised, and welcoming aftercare environment.
Specifically, we are looking for someone who:
- Is warm, kind, and caring with children of preschool and primary-school age
- Is fun-loving and enjoys engaging with children through play, conversation, and activities
- Is a team player, happy to chip in wherever needed
- Has a positive, can-do attitude when faced with challenges
- Takes pride in doing their job well and looks for ways to improve the environment for the children in their care
Position details:
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
