About This Role:
We are hiring a client-facing Accounting Manager to support multiple high-growth e-commerce and consumer product brands in a multi-client consulting environment. You will own the month-end close process, lead financial reporting, manage complex inventory accounting, and serve as the primary financial contact for founders. This role requires strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, deep e-commerce accounting expertise, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, tech-enabled environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own full-cycle month-end close across multiple e-commerce and CPG clients

  • Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly financial reporting packages with key KPIs

  • Perform full balance sheet reconciliations and P&L trend analysis

  • Reconcile Shopify, Amazon, merchant processors, and wholesale platforms (EDI, SPS Commerce)

  • Manage inventory accounting, including physical-to-GL tie-outs, COGS accuracy, obsolescence adjustments, and 3PL coordination

  • Oversee A/R, collections, A/P workflows, and bill payments through  and related systems

  • Manage payroll processin,g including journal entries and accruals (Gusto, Deel, Just Works)

  • Utilize fintech and spend platforms such as Ramp, Mercury, Rho, Settle, Wayflyer, and Highbeam

  • Supervise and mentor bookkeepers while ensuring data accuracy

  • Maintain proactive, professional client communication and act as a trusted financial partner

Software/Platforms/Tools:

  • Quick Books Online (Expert Level Required)

  • E-Commerce platforms:
    Shopify, Amazon Seller Central

  • Fintech platforms:
    Ramp, Mercury, Rho, Settle, Wayflyer, Highbeam

  • Inventory systems: CIN7, Apparel Magic, Fishbowl, Katana

  • 3PL systems:
    Ship Bob, Ship Hero, and other 3PL systems

  • Payroll platforms:
    Gusto, Deel, , Just Works

Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of freelancing experience

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication (C1 or C2 level).

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting (Required)

  • 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience

  • 2+ years in a multi-client or consulting environment

  • Extensive e-commerce experience required

  • Strong Consumer Packaged Goods and inventory management experience

  • Advanced GAAP knowledge and strong financial statement analysis skills

  • Extremely tech-savvy and systems-oriented

  • Exceptional English communication skills (client-facing level)

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple clients simultaneously

  • Friendly, welcoming, energetic personality with a strong ownership mindset

Shift Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time (US EST)
