About the Role
As our in-house YouTuber and content creator, you will be responsible for producing compelling video content that attracts, entertains, and retains a loyal South African audience. This is a full-time paid creative role — not an internship — and we are ready to invest in the right woman.
Video Niches & Content Types You’ll Work With:
- ASMR videos (triggers, roleplay, ambient sounds, whisper content)
- Beauty & makeup tutorials and product reviews
- Lifestyle vlogs and day-in-the-life content
- Haul videos, unboxing, and product showcases
- Storytime and opinion/commentary videos
- Motivational and self-improvement content
- South African culture, food, and travel content
- Challenge videos, reaction content, and YouTube trends
Key Responsibilities:
- Script, film, edit, and publish YouTube videos on a consistent schedule
- Optimise video titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails for SEO and YouTube search
- Grow channel subscribers and improve watch time metrics
- Repurpose YouTube content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Facebook
- Engage with the community through comments, polls, and community posts
- Monitor YouTube Analytics and report on video performance monthly
- Stay updated on trending formats, audio, and viral content ideas
Requirements:
- South African woman with on-screen confidence and natural charisma
- Proven experience creating YouTube or short-form video content
- Solid video editing skills (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar)
- Understanding of YouTube SEO, tags, titles, and thumbnails
- Reliable filming setup — smartphone camera acceptable
- Strong written and spoken English; additional SA languages are a major bonus
- Ability to work independently and meet regular upload deadlines
Bonus Skills:
- Existing YouTube channel or social media audience
- ASMR recording experience or interest
- Familiarity with keyword research tools (TubeBuddy, VidIQ)
- Experience with brand collaborations or sponsored content
