Yard Foreman PHP Building Supplies (Pty) Ltd – Western Cape
We are looking for a hands-on, reliable Yard Foreman to oversee the day-to-day operations of our building materials yard. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and comfortable managing a team in a fast-paced, physical work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the receiving and dispatching of stock, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
- Supervise the packing and loading of orders for deliveries and customer collections
- Organize and maintain stock and product displays throughout the yard
- Ensure the yard and store areas are kept clean, safe, and well-organized at all times
- Manage and direct yard staff, allocating daily tasks and monitoring performance
- Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies to management
- Liaise with drivers and the sales team to coordinate timely deliveries
- Maintain equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) and report any maintenance issues
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or building materials environment (advantageous)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor when required
- Good communication skills (English/Afrikaans)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team-driven environment
Pay: From R6 000,00 per month
