Overview
Working Foreman – Log Home Restoration Jobs in Dunnville, KY at Knaughty Log Restoration
Knaughty Log Restoration – Central Kentucky (East Coast Division)
Most foreman jobs are just babysitting crews, doing paperwork and following instructions.
This isn’t one of them.
We’re looking for someone who wants to run jobs, lead people, and take ownership – without being micromanaged.
If you need constant direction, don’t apply.
If you take pride in solving problems, leading from the front, and producing elite work – keep reading.
What You’re Walking Into:
We restore and protect log homes across the Eastern U.S.
No subcontractors. No shortcuts. No hack work.
You’ll be leading a tight 2–3 man crew and owning projects from start to finish – with the autonomy to run your jobs the right way.
The Role:
This is a working foreman position.
You will:
- Lead your crew daily on-site
- Work alongside them (this is not a clipboard role)
- Own job quality, timelines, and execution
- Communicate with clients professionally
- Solve problems without waiting to be told what to do
If your default is “what do you want me to do next?” – this won’t work.
If your default is “I’ve got it handled” – we want you.
The Work:
You’ll be executing high-end log home restoration, including:
- Media blasting
- Log washing & surface prep
- Staining & finishing systems
- Rot repair & wood preservation
- Caulking & chinking
- Maintaining a clean, professional jobsite at all times
Details matter here. Small misses turn into big problems – and the foreman owns that.
Travel (Read This Carefully)
- Up to 70% travel
- Projects across KY, TN, IN, OH, GA and other surrounding Eastern states
- Most work centered in Kentucky & Tennessee
- Paid accommodations + fuel + $50/day per diem
- Potential company truck (TBD)
If you don’t want to travel, this is not the role for you.
What We’re Actually Looking For
We’re not hiring based on years of experience.
We’re hiring based on how you operate.
You:
- Have extreme attention to detail
- Take ownership of outcomes — not just tasks
- Are reliable — no excuses, no babysitting required
- Are resourceful and figure things out
- Solve problems creatively in the field
- Hold a high standard for yourself and your crew
- Care about quality but still know how to enjoy the work
What Will Get You Passed On Immediately
- Missing details or cutting corners
- Needing constant direction
- Poor communication
- Inconsistent effort
- Blaming others instead of owning problems
Compensation:
- $70,000–$80,000 base salary
- Performance bonuses per job based on profitability
- Clear path to $100K+ for high performers
- 401(k) w/matching
- PTO
- Health Insurance Stipend
- Company fuel card
Top performers don’t cap out here – they grow with us.
What You Get
- Real autonomy (no micromanagement)
- A small, high-performing crew
- All tools, equipment, and materials provided – you focus on execution, not scrambling for resources
- Paid travel, per diem, and gear support
- Opportunity to grow with a company expanding nationally
- Work you can actually be proud of

Good enough doesn’t cut it. Details matter here. The small things are the job – and missing them isn’t acceptable.
One Team – One Mission

Our Mission
