We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Workers’ Compensation Attorney to join our client legal team. In this vital role, you will represent clients involved in workers’ compensation claims, ensuring their rights are protected while navigating complex legal processes. Your expertise will help clients secure fair benefits and navigate the intricacies of workplace injury laws. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by advocating for injured workers and providing comprehensive legal support within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of workers’ compensation claims from inception through resolution, including hearings, mediations, and appeals.
- Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies.
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and correspondence with clients and insurance carriers.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and other parties to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Advocate on behalf of clients during hearings, depositions, and mediations, presenting compelling cases based on evidence and law.
- Maintain detailed case records and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements and deadlines.
- Collaborate with colleagues in estate planning, environmental law, family law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, securities law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, patent law, litigation, and other practice areas to provide holistic legal services when needed.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar.
- Proven experience practicing workers’ compensation law with a strong understanding of relevant statutes and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting clear and persuasive legal documents.
- Demonstrated ability to handle litigation processes including hearings and depositions confidently.
- Legal administrative experience managing case files efficiently within a busy law office environment.
- Knowledge of additional practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations is a plus but not mandatory.
Salary: 175k-200k
Pay: $175,000.00 – $200,000.00 per year
