We are seeking a wholesale Seafood Manager to join our team at Port Lobster. Port Lobster is a Kennebunkport based Lobster and Seafood wholesale company with also a small retail seafood storefront at 122 Ocean Avenue. Our commitment to quality and freshness has made us a local favorite for wholesale and retail seafood lovers.

Requirements

  • Certified HACCP or have the qualifications to get one-we will facilitate
  • Buying and Selling wholesale lobsters and seafood
  • Taking orders for lobster and seafood from wholesale accounts
  • Grading and packing Lobsters for Shipping
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Experience with inventory control and cash handling procedures is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the seafood department, ensuring product quality and freshness.
  • Lead and train staff on seafood preparation, presentation, and customer service best practices.
  • Oversee inventory control, including ordering and receiving products to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Handle cash register operations and ensure accurate cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Recruit, train, and manage staff to create a high-performing team.
