Job title: Welder

Location: Silverton, Pretoria
Duties:
- Read and interpret drawings and welding specifications.
- Perform welding using CO2 (MIG/MAG) and TIG (GTAW) processes on various metals.
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment.
- Inspect and test welds to meet quality and code standards.
- Carry out repairs, rework, and finishing as needed.
- Maintain safety standards and a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time.
Requirements:
- Trade certification and double coded welder qualification (CO2 and TIG) – beneficial.
- Experience working with aluminium and thick steel.
- Matric – beneficial
- Boiler maker experience – beneficial
- Proven experience as a welder, with competency in both CO2 and TIG processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of welding standards, codes, and safety regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity for handling heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills for identifying welding defects and applying corrective measures.
