Position Available: Skilled Welder Vacancy
We are currently seeking a skilled Welder to join our engineering team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience as a welder (minimum 2–5 years preferred)
- Valid QCTO Trade Certificate (Welder) – Essential
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans
- Experience in MIG and ARC welding (TIG welding advantageous)
- Experience working with mild steel (stainless steel and aluminium is an advantage) Knowledge of fabrication processes including cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembly
- Physically fit and able to work in a workshop environment
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Good problem-solving skills in a workshop environment
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Understanding of safety procedures and PPE compliance
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform welding according to technical drawings and specifications
- Fabricate and assemble components such as frames and structures
- Ensure high-quality welds with minimal rework
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and strength
- Maintain tools and welding equipment
- Adhere to all safety standards and workshop procedures
Working Conditions:
- Workshop based with occasional site work
- Overtime may be required depending on project deadlines
Important Note:
The QCTO Trade Certificate is compulsory, as it is required for compliance. Only qualified candidates will be considered.
Remuneration:
Remuneration is negotiable and will be aligned with the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
