Role Description The WE ARE HIRING – IMMEDIATE DEPLOYMENT Fibre Teams role is a full-time, on-site position based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The role involves installing, splicing, testing, and maintaining fibre optic networks for commercial and residential clients. Team members will interpret network diagrams, prepare and manage fibre cables, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards. Daily tasks include providing technical support to clients and colleagues, documenting work performed, and coordinating with project leads to meet deployment timelines. The role may also involve assisting in training junior technicians and collaborating with other technical teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

  • Strong Analytical Skills and Troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve fibre network issues efficiently.
  • Effective Communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and supervisors, including clear reporting and documentation.
  • Experience in Technical Support and Training to assist users, mentor junior staff, and share best practices on fibre installations.
  • Hands-on experience with fibre optic installation, splicing, testing tools, and safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of networking basics and infrastructure, including understanding of fibre layouts and standards.
  • Ability to work on-site in varying field conditions, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines.
  • Relevant technical certification or diploma in telecommunications, networking, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in fibre deployment or similar field service work in Kenya or the region is an added benefit.

We are specifically looking for qualified personnel in the following positions: 18 Positions

🔹 Technician / Fiber Splicer

🔹 Rigger (KPLC 14 Certified)

🔹 3 Handymen

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • Valid Fire Marshal Certificate
  • Rigger: Must also possess Working at Height (WAH) and KPLC 14 certifications.
