Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor with a strong background in the solar industry to manage and oversee warehouse operations in Nairobi. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience handling solar products such as panels, inverters, batteries, and related components, ensuring efficient inventory control and timely distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and dispatch of solar products
- Ensure proper handling and storage of solar equipment (panels, inverters, batteries, accessories) to avoid damage
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams for smooth order fulfillment
- Monitor inbound shipments (especially imports) and ensure proper documentation and clearance coordination
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety standards, especially for handling electrical and sensitive equipment
- Manage warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 4–6 years of warehouse experience, with mandatory exposure to solar products
- Strong knowledge of solar components such as PV modules, inverters, batteries, and mounting structures
- Experience in inventory management and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Good understanding of import/export processes and documentation
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field
- Experience working with solar distributors, EPC companies, or renewable energy firms
