Position Objective:

The Warehouse Specialist is expected to meet the qualifications as outlined below. This position is vital to the overall success of our organization as a manufacturer of animal health and nutrition products and services.

The responsibilities of this position are to support daily warehouse operations; prepare, process, load, and organize warehouse for product distribution and receiving in an accurate and timely manner that will achieve the level of quality required of Nelson Tubs, LLC.

Reporting Structure:

· Position reports to Plant Manager

Scheduling Requirements:

· Ability to work Monday – Friday, Fulltime, flexible hours up to 6:30pm

Job Duties:

Warehouse Operations – (70%)

– Receive, inspect and verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips

– Accurately rotate stock and product storage by company guidelines

– Label and prepare orders by company guidelines for product shipment

– Operate warehouse equipment, forklifts, standup lifts, pallet jacks, shrink wrappers, skid loaders, as required

– Perform regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts and audit procedures

– Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment

– Assist with unloading and loading of trucks and staging outbound product shipments

– Communicate with staff all inventory discrepancies, adjustments and changes

– Maintain accuracy and organization of company product supplies and containers

· Production and Scheduling (20%) – As needed based on production changes

– Perform required duties in mixing, blending, processing and operations to meet required specifications and quality expectations, for both domestic and international products

– Perform required tasks to ensure the highest standards are met in the quality of finished product

– Assist in organization and monitoring of ingredients and finished inventory

– Meet required production schedules to maintain the most efficient use of equipment and capacity

– Adhere to all safety protocols, bio-security measures and regulations (both State and Federal FDA and Department of Agriculture) standards of quality and safe operations

– Observe and follow all Standard Operating Procedures as outlined and directed for domestic and international order processing

– Ensure all documentation is completed and reviewed, as directed

– Follow all communication required related to production and coordination of all production, packing and shipping documentation

– Ability to multi-task in a face-paced environment

· Maintenance & Housekeeping (10%)

– Follow and maintain all maintenance and service processing of equipment

– Communicate with supervisors and maintenance personnel on a regular basis to ensure consistent operations and avoid equipment breakdowns

– Follow all required operating procedures for safe and efficient operations

– Maintain a clean and organized workspace for proper bio-security measures

– Ensure daily maintenance and housekeeping of warehouses, receiving, processing areas and general property for product quality and employee safety

– Communicate necessary customer requests to manufacturing for special order, processing and customer instructions.

– Understanding of feed industry regulations, production protocols, quality expectations and required training to ensure high customer expectations are met

– Other duties as directed by the production leader or supervisor

Requirements:

· High School Graduate, or received GED equivalent

· Boiler license designation (preferred)

· Forklift experience – standup and traditional (preferred) – will train

· Ability to operate a skid loader during winter months

· Effectively communicate with staff and 3rd party groups, as needed

· Ability to follow directions and communicate the same information

· Experienced in various manufacturing operations and functions

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or other order processing systems

· Display self-motivation & time management skills to meet deadlines for specific projects

· Ability to travel as needed on a limited basis

· Work and travel to our production facility located in Dassel, MN

Essential Job Functions:

· Ability to bend, stretch, twist, squat, and reach above your head

· Ability to lift 50-70 lbs.

· Required to exert force to lift, push, pull or carry objects of various sizes

· Ability to hear sounds that vary in pitch and volume

· Ability to drive a forklift/pallet jack/manufacturing equipment and understand safety directions and operating instructions

· Ability to perform simple mathematical equations

· Computer and typing abilities required for documentation

· Strong sense of integrity and commitment to exceptional customer service and quality

· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbal and written communication

· Detailed oriented with ability to organize projects through completion

· Proven ability to work under pressure and meet scheduling deadlines

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
