Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure proper storage, organization, and safety of all goods (UPS systems, AVRs, batteries, accessories, etc.)
* Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, movements, and balances at all times
* Perform goods receiving and inspection, ensuring all incoming items match purchase orders and are in good condition
* Ensure proper documentation of stock-in and stock-out activities (GRN, delivery notes, waybills, etc.)
* Implement and maintain serial number tracking for all applicable products to ensure traceability and accountability
* Monitor and control stock movement, ensuring proper authorization for all dispatches and transfers
* Prepare and coordinate order picking, packing, and dispatch for deliveries and installations
* Conduct regular stock counts (weekly/monthly) and reconcile discrepancies promptly
* Maintain an organized warehouse layout for easy identification and retrieval of items
* Ensure proper labelling and categorization of all inventory
* Use and manage inventory/stock management systems (ERP or Excel-based systems) effectively
* Generate periodic inventory reports (stock levels, fast-moving items, slow-moving items, shortages, etc.)
* Implement and enforce warehouse control measures to prevent loss, theft, or damage of goods
* Coordinate with the sales, procurement, and technical teams to ensure smooth operations
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards within the warehouse
* Supervise warehouse assistants or casual staff (if applicable)
* Recommend improvements to inventory processes and warehouse efficiency
Qualifications
- Experience in Shipping & Receiving tasks, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Proficiency in Packing and Unloading inventory, ensuring goods are handled safely and efficiently.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as Forklifts and Pallet Jacks.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to maintain inventory accuracy and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and adherence to safety practices in a warehouse environment.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems is advantageous.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain role is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in warehouse operations are a plus.
