Warehouse Manager A well-established organisation is seeking an experienced and results-driven Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations, including stock control, dispatch management, inventory accuracy, and team leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient warehouse processes, maintaining optimal stock levels, and managing the timely dispatch of goods while upholding high standards of safety, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
- Manage receiving, storage, stock control, and dispatch activities.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through regular stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciliations.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment requirements.
- Implement and maintain effective warehouse procedures and controls.
- Coordinate the accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of orders within required timelines.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, damaged goods, and inventory variances.
- Manage warehouse staff, including scheduling, performance management, training, and development.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate warehouse records and reporting.
- Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, and internal departments to ensure efficient operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse productivity and cost efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehousing, or a related field will be advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehouse management.
- Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, and dispatch operations.
- Previous experience supervising or managing warehouse staff.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse systems and inventory management processes.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems.
- Valid driver’s licence.
