Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Forklift Operator on the first shift in our cold storage facility! Duties
- Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
- Conduct accurate order picking using RF scanners and <PERSON> pick systems to fulfill customer orders efficiently
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments and ensuring proper documentation
- Load and unload materials with heavy lifting techniques while adhering to OSHA safety standards
- Manage materials handling tasks including stacking, organizing, and storing products in cold storage areas
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety protocols, and equipment inspections to promote a secure work environment
- Support warehouse management system updates for inventory control and order tracking
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar environment with familiarity in order picking and shipping & receiving processes
- Valid forklift certification with experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse machinery maintenance
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations applicable to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while following safety guidelines
- Experience with RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), and materials handling tools
- Prior warehouse supervisor or leadership experience is a plus but not required
- Construction or industrial background is advantageous for understanding mechanical systems and safety procedures
