Headwear 24, Africa’s leading headwear manufacturer, is looking for a dynamic, organized, and detail-driven Warehouse Administrator to join our fast-paced operations team at our Head Office in Durban.
Operating in a high-volume manufacturing and distribution environment, the Warehouse Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring accurate stock control, efficient stock movement, and reliable dispatch of finished goods and raw materials. This role will suit an energetic individual who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys working with systems and data, and can manage multiple tasks while maintaining exceptional accuracy.
1. Job Purpose:
- To ensure accurate administration and control of all stock movements within the warehouse.
- To capture and reconcile incoming and outgoing stock on the relevant system to maintain accurate inventory records.
- To support the warehouse and production teams by ensuring that stock receipts, transfers, and dispatch documentation are processed accurately and timeously.
- To ensure all Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation and Goods Received Vouchers (GRVs) are captured and filed in accordance with company procedures.
2. Key Duties:
- Receive containers from shipping partners and verify stock received against delivery documentation.
- Load and confirm all received stock on the relevant inventory management system.
- Process and administrate all stock movements between departments or cost centres.
- Dispatch stock as directed and ensure accurate documentation accompanies all shipments.
- GRV local production orders and communicate receipt confirmations to Production Coordinators.
- GRV incoming raw materials and ensure correct quantities are recorded.
- Capture and maintain Proof of Delivery (POD) records daily.
- Maintain accurate records of warehouse transactions, stock adjustments, and internal transfers.
- Liaise with Warehouse, Production, and Procurement teams to ensure accurate stock reconciliation.
- Ensure all stock documentation and records are maintained according to company procedures.
- Assist with stock audits and cycle counts when required.
3. Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum Matric (Grade 12 / NQF 4) or equivalent qualification.
- 3–4 years’ relevant experience in a warehouse or distribution centre environment.
- Previous experience in warehouse administration or inventory control would be advantageous.
- A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Management, or Business Administration would be advantageous.
