About Us
Ou Meul is a much-loved South African café and bakery brand known for our warm hospitality, quality food, and community spirit. We are opening a brand new store in Newlands, Cape Town, and we are looking for passionate, energetic waiters to join our team from the ground up.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting new opening and grow with a brand that truly values its people.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of waitering experience in a restaurant or café environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A warm, friendly personality with a genuine passion for hospitality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Well-presented and professional at all times
- A team player who takes pride in their work
- Reliable, punctual, and committed
- Knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements is advantageous
What the Role Involves
- Delivering exceptional table service from greeting to farewell
- Full menu knowledge — food, coffee, and beverages
- Handling orders accurately using our POS system
- Working closely with the kitchen and bar team
- Upholding Ou Meul’s brand standards and values at all times
