Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in Lagos. The Video Editor will plan, edit, and assemble video content that showcases Kingford Homes’ properties, brand stories, and customer testimonials for digital and offline channels. Daily tasks include organizing raw footage, selecting and trimming clips, adding transitions, music, and sound effects, and ensuring consistent branding across all content. The role involves color grading, basic motion graphics, and collaborating with marketing, sales, and creative teams to deliver compelling video assets on schedule. The Video Editor will also export and optimize videos for various platforms, maintain an organized media library, and suggest new visual ideas to improve audience engagement.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, including working with raw footage, timelines, and various video formats.
  • Proficiency in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent, high-quality visual tones across all projects.
  • Ability to create and integrate Motion Graphics and Graphics to enhance storytelling and brand identity.
  • Experience with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve; After Effects is a plus).
  • Solid understanding of video formats, codecs, and export settings for web and social media platforms.
  • Strong visual storytelling, attention to detail, and ability to work within brand guidelines.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site.
  • Proven experience in a similar video editing role; a portfolio or showreel is required.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to feedback in a fast-paced environment.
