Role Overview
We are recruiting Vehicle & Equipment Inspection Specialists to carry out technical inspection and acceptance verification of vehicles and heavy equipment at international manufacturing and assembly facilities. This role requires hands-on mechanical expertise and the ability to verify equipment integrity across structural, mechanical, electrical, and integration elements prior to final acceptance.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicle and equipment chassis, structural integrity, and welds
- Verify mechanical components including engines, suspension, and drivetrain systems
- Inspect electrical systems and verify against technical specifications
- Verify integration of specialist components and assemblies
- Match identification numbers and documentation against physical units and production records
- Coordinate and witness functional and road testing
- Document all inspection findings with photographic evidence
- Flag non-conformances and coordinate corrective actions with the production facility
Requirements
- Background in vehicle inspection, mechanical QA, fleet management, or automotive manufacturing QA
- Practical mechanical inspection skills across structural, electrical, and drivetrain systems
- Experience coordinating functional testing and interpreting performance results
- Strong documentation skills and experience producing technical inspection reports
- Willing to work in manufacturing and testing environments on long-term international deployment
Additional Notes
Candidates with heavy vehicle, fleet, or industrial equipment inspection backgrounds are well suited to this role.
This role is based in South Africa. Successful candidates will be required to travel to and deploy at international manufacturing sites as directed. Travel, accommodation, and deployment costs are covered by the employer.
Pay: R30 000,00 – R70 000,00 per month
