Job Purpose

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented UI Designer to join our dynamic team at Britam. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the design of intuitive and visually compelling user interfaces across a range of digital products, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about user-centered design, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is driven to create seamless and engaging user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior designers and project managers to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
  • Assist in the design and development of wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and user interface components using design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma.
  • Participate in user research and usability testing activities to gather feedback and insights for iterative design improvements.
  • Work closely with developers and other team members to ensure the effective implementation of UI designs, while maintaining consistency and usability across different platforms and devices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, design principles, and best practices in UI/UX design to support continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Contribute ideas and solutions to enhance the user experience and visual appeal of digital products and interfaces.
  • Document design processes, decisions, and guidelines to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications required and Essential Competencies – External

  • Degree in Computer Science , Interaction Design, HCI or any related field from an accredited institution
  • Strong interest in UI/UX design and proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar software.
  • Creative flair and a keen eye for detail, with a passion for creating elegant and user-friendly designs.
  • Familiarity with design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to take constructive feedback and iterate on designs to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and a strong desire to develop skills and knowledge in UI design.
