Position: UC/AV Team Leader (Telecommunication)
Key responsibilities
· Support of Audio-Visual equipment
· Advanced fault-finding
· Must be able to work independently and alone on-site support
· Preparing equipment, cabling and consumables for installations according to the solution required
· Preparing properly before attending to a site
· Installation of Audio-Visual equipment
· Installation of cabling and determining cable runs
· Termination of all Audio-Visual cabling according to best practice standards
· Video Conferencing and Audio-Visual Equipment Configuration
· Mounting of Audio-Visual equipment on any surface required
· Neatening and labelling racks
· Implementing solutions according to technical schematics
· Adhering to safety standards and regulations.
· Keeping an installation site neat and clean
· Comprehensive knowledge of proper tool usage and tool management
· Manage and take responsibility for Equipment (laptop etc.).
· Managing a UC installation team daily and within the field or on site
· Liaising with suppliers and senior staff to resolve issues
· Must be available to work overtime when required
· Must be available to travel for installations when required
· Completing training when required.
· Important to complete site audit reports and job-reporting after project completion
· Feedback to Technical Coordinator regarding job progress (must always be available and continuous communication with the Technical Coordinator is important)
· Ensure that the proper documentation is kept – site sign-off, delivery notes etc. and saved in the relevant folders on the server.
Requirements
· Senior Certificate
· Comprehensive knowledge of wiring, cable termination and best practice standards
· Minimum 2 – 4 year’s Audio-Visual Experience
· Strong knowledge of Audio-Visual Systems
· AMX, Crestron and Extron qualifications
· Proof of technical skills and experience
· Must have valid driver’s license.
