Position: Turning (Lathe) and Milling
Our client, a leading organisation operating within the Precision Engineering and Manufacturing industry, is seeking to employ an experienced Turning (Lathe) and Milling to join their team.
Requirements:
- 4 years’ experience as a machinist in an engineering shop. Not as a production machinist.
- Hole and thread tolerances.
- Knowledge of different materials.
- Able to work overtime and weekends (when needed).
Responsibilities:
- Know how to read and determine manufacturing drawings.
- Created freehand drawings from a master part.
- Work to high tolerance machining.
- Know what tooling and feed and speeds to use with different materials.
- Must be able to cut threads and tapers on a manual lathe and mill.
- Be able to operate different machines, Lathe, Mill, surface grinder, blocking mill, drill arm, auto tapping machine.
